The Wolfpack played 4 great games of hockey this past weekend (April 11-13th) culminating in a 2-1 win versus the GLASA Falcons to earn them the title of Champions of the Open B Liberty Division. The team started the tournament hot, with a 7-0 win and cruised until the championship, where they played the GLASA Falcons, a team who was looking for revenge after losing to the Wolfpack the day before. The competition was intense with the Wolfpack knotted 1-1 going into the 3rd period. With only seconds left to go, John Teran made a great play to keep the puck in the offensive zone and passed to Tyler Konvent who rifled a shot passed the GLASA goalie.

The team was led this weekend by leading point scorer Ryan Pelletier, amazing goal tending by Eric Veilleux, and rookie Rachel Grusse who was named Wolfpack MVP of the tournament. The Wolfpack would especially like to thank Karen Smith for all of her work behind the scenes which enabled us to just focus on the task at hand.
